Apple has announced the iPhone 12. They have released four versions of the iPhone 12 at the same time.
- iPhone 12 (5.4 inches)
- iPhone 12 Mini (6.1 inches)
- iPhone 12 Pro (6.1 inches)
- iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inches)
All of them are in the series of iPhone 12. There isn’t much change in the display of the main iPhone 12. It has the same 6.1-inch display as the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR. The upgrade is the only conversion from an LCD screen to OLED.
iPhone 12 will be available in black, white, blue, red, and green, and pricing starts at $829. Buyers can choose from 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of storage. It resembles the iPhone 11 mostly. The top-notch is still there. However, the bezels of the screen are much thinner this time. Maybe this is the tweak they made for the OLED screen.
According to Apple the OLED screen has a “ceramic shield” to better resist water and accidental drop. But, as we have seen in the near past Apple devices are very much fragile than other devices in the same price range.
Now, we can’t confirm their “ceramic shield”, unless it is tested by tech nerds and YouTubers around the world. People are going to destroy a lot of iPhone 12 just for fun. Get ready for it.
Now, this is not the main surprise. Apple is a little late to announce their new model, considering the pandemic is still going on. What surprises us is they have made the iPhone 12 packaging much smaller and thinner, because it won’t come with a power adapter.
According to Lisa Jackson, Apple’s vice president of environmental policy and social initiatives, “the iPhone box” will not include a power adapter or headphones. They are calling it a new approach to minimize waste. It also helps to ship more iPhones on a shipping pallet.
Well, to us it is just another strategy they are making to sell more products in the line. First, they removed the headphone jack and introduced AirPods. Which was obnoxious but helped to sell a new product quite well.
New iPhones will come with a USB-C to lightning cable, but unfortunately, you can’t charge your phone with your existing adapter if you have any. You need to buy a compatible adapter.
This decision of Apple seems like the iPhone 11 is still a better deal for consumers’ pockets. Eventually this time they will get it around with the four versions of the same iPhone 12. There is a new iPhone 12 for everyone. You do not need to worry about your small or big palm. The iPhone 12 Mini is the smallest one 5.4 inch screen and the iPhone 12 pro max is 6.7 inches.
iPhone 12 is also 5G supported. They have tested it over 100 carriers across 30 countries. So, it is being assured that iPhone 12 is the best one to achieve optimum performance in any LTE or 5G network.
iPhone 12 has 12-megapixel f/1.6 main camera, faster aperture than its predecessor, and the second one for wide-angle photography. The front camera now has night vision too. Overall this is a performance upgrade over the previous iPhones.
We do not see much competition for androids like One plus, Samsung, and Google Pixel 5 here. Yet, this has to be field-tested when all the phones are in hand.
